Olympic winners, world champions, race car drivers and top models: the BMW Driving Experience welcomes many athletes from a variety of disciplines to celebrate its anniversary in Maisach. As part of the celebrations for the 40th anniversary of the BMW and MINI Driving Experience, top athletes like Felix Loch (luge), Franceso Friedrich (bobsled) and BMW factory drivers Marco Wittmann and Augusto Farfus took a spin in some of the latest BMW models. And a new face in the crowd, top model Lena Gercke celebrated her debut as Brand Ambassador for BMW M GmbH.
From test ground to Festwiese.
Fun was the name of the game at the grounds of the BMW and MINI Driving Academy. Participants had to prove their dexterity in special “Wiesn Challenges”. Passengers had to inscribe gingerbread hearts during a speedy ride in a BMW M4 CS (Fuel consumption in l/100 km (combined): 8.4; CO2 emissions in g/km (combined): 197) as it tackled a drifting parkour. On the challenging slalom parkour in a BMW i3s (Power consumption in kWh/100 km (combined): 14.3; CO2 emissions in g/km (combined): 0), the task was to throw cans out of the driving car. After the Wiesn Challenges, celebrations moved onto the eighth edition of the BMW Wiesn Sport Stammtisch. After a tour of the Festwiese, the BMW family settled in for the cosy ambiance of the Käfer-Wiesen-Schänke to re-fuel after an adrenaline-loaded day.
