The six-cylinder BMW M140i.

The heart of any vehicle is the engine and this is just as true for the M140i: a straight-six pounds under its bonnet. The M Performance TwinPower Turbo technology with TwinScroll turbocharger provides a full 500 Nm of torque, which is available from just 1,520 rpm. With direct injection, fully variable valve timing (Valvetronic) and variable camshaft control double VANOS effortlessly reaches 250 kW (340 hp).

The chassis is specifically-tuned to M standards, which supports the engine and helps to provide as much driving pleasure as possible. The front wheel struts have been constructed from aluminum with M-specific tuning, while the five-link axle installed in the rear had been built from lightweight steel with a double elastic bearing.

Refined design.

The BMW M140i finds exactly the right balance between understatement and class with its exterior and interior. At the front, its air inlets have been enlarged for M Performance, with slats in Ferric Grey. The rear is dominated by a striking diffuser, framed by twin-sided tailpipes finished in Black Chrome. Round out its sporty look are the exclusive 18” light alloy 719 M wheels in Jet Black. The interior features special M Performance sports seats, an M leather steering wheel, as well as a special M footrest and M Performance door sills. Last but not least, an M Performance-specific instrument cluster and exclusive interior trim gives the vehicle its unique M Performance look.
