Three and a half decades ago, BMW Motorsport GmbH established a completely new vehicle category with the first generation high-performance BMW M5. For the first time, the driving dynamics of a sports car were combined with the comfort of a luxury saloon. 35 years later, the BMW M5 remains the world’s most successful high-performance sedan, and to mark this anniversary BMW M GmbH has created a special edition. With an output of 460 kW/625 hp under the bonnet, it features the most powerful engine in the model’s history, along with a range of thrilling design and equipment features. The BMW M5 Edition 35 Jahre will be produced in a limited series of 350 units and will be available worldwide from July 2019.

Even at first glance, the BMW M5 Edition 35 Jahre instantly stands out as an extraordinary high-performance sedan and exclusive collector's item. The high-quality M design features developed exclusively for the Edition model and its BMW Individual fittings play a major role in the creation of this aesthetic. These include the newly-designed 20-inch M light alloy wheels with Y-spoke design in Graphite Grey, as well as the high-gloss black finished callipers of the standard M Compound brake system. The expressive exterior appearance is rounded off by the BMW Individual special finish in Frozen Dark Grey metallic, which has a special pigmentation to create a silk matt surface.

In addition to the M multifunction seats and the BMW Individual Merino full leather trim in black with beige contrasting seams, another very special highlight awaits you in the interior. For the first time, the interior trim finishers are available in aluminium carbon structure gold anodized. These finely structured, shimmering surfaces are seen on the instrument panel, the door trim sections and the centre console. The exclusive flair of the Edition model is underlined by door sill finishers bearing the inscription ‘M5 Edition 35 Jahre’ and a lasing engraving with the inscription ‘M5 Edition 35 Jahre 1/350’ on the cupholder cover in the centre console.
