And extended equipment.

The new Alcantara Bicolour design will come as standard for all BMW M8 models – both for the standard M Sport seats and the optional M Carbon bucket seats. Another standard feature for the BMW M8 Gran Coupé is the 4 zone air conditioning system. BMW M8 customers can create a particularly eye-catching look with the exclusive M Carbon exterior package. This uses exposed high-tech carbon material to highlight elements such as the Air Curtains on the sides of the front bumper, the exterior mirror caps, the M rear spoiler and the rear diffuser. PURE PERFORMANCE

The M TwinPower Turbo engine.

The core components of the new BMW M models are the latest iterations of the high-revving M TwinPower Turbo high-performance V8 petrol engine. This 4.4-litre engine delivers 441 kW/600 hp, and 460 kW/625 hp in the M8 Competition variants. This makes it the most powerful BMW M engine in a production model (bar the limited-edition BMW M5 CS with an output of 467 kW/635 hp). Its power development ensures that this engine is capable of extraordinary driving performance in any M8 model.

The intelligent M xDrive provides a choice of different drive configurations – from rear-biased all-wheel drive to pure rear-wheel drive.

EXCEPTIONAL DRIVING ENJOYMENT.

The intelligent M xDrive all-wheel drive.

The M xDrive all-wheel drive system included as standard is a key factor contributing to the vehicle’s extraordinary directional stability and superior traction. Its rear-wheel bias makes it suitable for extremely dynamic driving.

In its default 4WD setting, it effectively only involves the front axle once the rear wheels have reached their traction limits and require support from the front. The supremely flexible, fully variable torque split of this all-wheel drive system makes the entire range of new BMW M8 model variants easy to control at all times, even when employing a very high-powered, sporty driving style.

Drivers can also adapt the M xDrive’s power distribution according to their personal preferences: from the 4WD default setting (all-wheel drive biased to the rear) to the 4WD Sport mode (more torque to the rear axle, allows drifting) and, with the DSC switched off, a rear-wheel-drive-only 2WD mode for use on the track.

Official data on power consumption and electric range were determined in accordance with the mandatory measurement procedure and comply with Regulation (EU) 715/2007 valid at the time of type approval. In case of a range, figures in the NEDC take into account differences in the selected wheel and tire size; figures in the WLTP take into account any optional equipment. WLTP values are used for assessing taxes and other vehicle-related charges that are (also) based on CO2 emissions, as well as for the purposes of vehicle-specific subsidies, if applicable. Where applicable, the NEDC values listed were calculated based on the new WLTP measurement procedure and then converted back to the NEDC measurement procedure for comparability reasons. For newly type-tested vehicles since 01.01.2021, the official data no longer exist according to NEDC, but only according to WLTP. For more information on the WLTP and NEDC measurement procedures, see https://www.bmw.com/wltp.
