If you happen to see a car taking the curves at top speed at a BMW testing site, it could be Josef Bücherl sitting behind the wheel. And it’s quite possible that you’ll also be surprised when he takes off his driver’s helmet. Bücherl is 83 years old and can look back on decades of experience as a driving trainer. During his time as director and chief instructor at BMW Driving Experience, he has driven countless BMW M automobiles in almost every part of the world. And every single one – to the absolute limit.

From police service to BMW driving trainer: Josef Bücherl likes to drive for a living and even at 84 years of age isn’t nearing the finish.
