Adrenalin, emotions and pure driving pleasure. For seven years the M Festival at the Nürburgring has set the pulses of BMW M fans racing. Until this year, the M Festival was the only one worldwide and took place in conjunction with the 24 Hours Nürburgring event. This year M fans in Asia and Africa can also tank up on all the M they want.

M Festival in Shanghai – a total success.
Exciting debut: M Corso, M Night, the BMW Driving Experience and a Formula 1 track. This is the M Festival 2017 in Shanghai – the first one ever in China. In mid-August, 2,000 excited BMW M Fans experienced everything the brand has to offer. From drifting, to slalom and much, much more. At dozens of workshops with instructors from BMW Driving Experience, the BMW family experienced M Power in its truest form. There was much to please the eye as well: drift shows, legendary classic cars like the BMW M3 E30 and E36 or the second generation of the BMW M5 were real head-turners. In addition, the BMW M3 and M4 Fans Editions celebrated a premiere and market launch in China. Also in the starting gates: BMW factory drivers, who enjoy basking in the crowds and giving countless autographs.

M Festival in Johannesburg – the largest in the world.
Brilliant premiere: with 20,000 visitors, it was the first M Festival in South Africa and the largest in the world. M Drag Races and drift shows, the DTM squad from BMW and a BMW M show room with the latest models all delivered breathtaking moments in Johannesburg. The BMW Driving Experience was also on location, and its test drives turned the M Festival into the largest BMW Test Drive Event in South Africa, promising unforgettable driving pleasure for up to 2,000 M fans. The BMW M of your desire could be purchased immediately in a pop-up store. The BMW MX3 M40i, which will be launched in 2018, could also be found here as well as the new BMW M5 with M xDrive and the BMW M4 CS. In addition to the brute M sounds which resonated over the festival grounds, music from 15 international DJ acts joined in to provide the perfect end to an adrenalin-packed day.

M Festival on the Nürburgring – the original.
A thrilling classic. On the first day alone, around 200,000 visitors flocked to the legendary 24 Hours Nürburgring. In the middle of it all: the totally sold-out M Festival where everyone in the M family could meet and exchange stories in a pleasant setting. In Germany’s Eifel region, BMW Motorsport 2017 was awarded the Brand of the Year Award. BMW fought to 19 total victories on the toughest GT3 races in the world – a unique record. In addition, a brand new BMW M model was unveiled in the Eifel. Under the motto “TOO MANY SECRETS”, the “Erlkönig” (development mule) of the BMW M8s made its debut and drove the nearly 25 kilometres along the traditional M Corso.
