The BMW M Laptimer

With the BMW M Laptimer, you’ll have an even more intense driving experience.

Every tenth counts. With the BMW M Laptimer, you’ll have an even more intense driving experience.

The joy of driving is subjective, emotional, a feast for the senses. And yet we can also measure it, in tenths of a second and m/s². The new BMW M Laptimer app, specially designed in the next-generation style of BMW M, is the ultimate tool for data analysis on racetracks around the world. It automatically records lap times and a great deal of important information, such as the exact position of the accelerator pedal or the speed driven, along with the associated G-forces. To do this, the BMW M Laptimer draws on sensor data that is recorded directly from your vehicle. The app analyses this data and provides the basis for detailed improvements to your own driving style. In short: it’s a guarantee for new best times.

Even off the race track.

Data recorded by the BMW M Laptimer can be edited precisely. If required, you can edit your recording to display only valid laps (warm-up and cool-down laps can be removed) or move the start/finish line as desired. The app also records useful information while driving, such as the current driving time and the distance covered, so that you can keep an eye on your performance at all times. This makes the BMW M Laptimer ideal for recording journeys away from the racetrack too. Share your best laps and trips on social media platforms with a custom scorecard, so friends can immediately see the best times you set on the asphalt or road in your BMW.
