THE M2 CS RacingThe perfect entry into racing with BMW M

Made for winners: with the new BMW M2 CS Racing, motorsport is more exciting than ever. Impressive driving performance and state-of-the-art racing technology, combined with the decades of experience of BMW M Motorsport, make the M2 CS Racing a thoroughbred racing car in a class of its own. This is no coincidence: using the perfect base of the BMW M2 CS (fuel consumption in l/100km combined: 10.4-9.6; CO2 emissions in g/km combined: 238-219) and working in close collaboration with BMW M GmbH colleagues, BMW Motorsport engineers used many of the insights from the development of the BMW M4 GT4 to set totally new standards in the entry-level class with its little brother, the BMW M2 CS Racing.

M TECHNOLOGY FOR THE WINNER'S PODIUM.

The BMW M2 CS Racing offers the best setup for successful entry into motorsport. The new racing car is powered by an S55 six-cylinder in-line engine with BMW M TwinPower Turbo Technology, which with a capacity of 2,979 cc in the racing version achieves between 280 hp (205 kW) and 365 hp (268 kW), depending on the Balance of Performance or Permit B classification. The maximum torque of 550 Nm is transmitted by a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission, which has been applied using specialist motorsport software. Sound and performance are provided by a motorsport-specific exhaust system with racing catalytic converters.

Motorsport-specific driving aids such as ABS and DSC guarantee that newcomers will be able to handle the car safely. A mechanical limited slip differential with pre-load and separate cooling also comes as standard, as do specially manufactured drive shafts. For weight reduction and an even lower centre of gravity, the roof is made of lightweight and particularly torsion-resistant carbon.

BUILT FOR THE TOUGHEST CONDITIONS.

The BMW M2 CS Racing has an intensive period of testing behind it. After initial outings at Miramas in France and Portimão in Portugal came the first appearance under race conditions at the fifth round of the VLN Endurance Championship Nürburgring. At the Nürburgring-Nordschleife, the most demanding racetrack in the world, BMW Motorsport Junior Beitske Visser (NED) and Jörg Weidinger (GER), test and development engineer at BMW M GmbH and a very successful participant in the BMW Sports Trophy over many years, completed the first endurance test and provided the engineers with valuable insights under race conditions. • The models illustrated include optional equipment.

Official data on fuel consumption and CO2 emissions were determined in accordance with the mandatory measurement procedure and comply with Regulation (EU) 715/2007 valid at the time of type approval. In case of a range, figures in the NEDC take into account differences in the selected wheel and tire size; figures in the WLTP take into account any optional equipment. WLTP values are used for assessing taxes and other vehicle-related charges that are (also) based on CO2 emissions, as well as for the purposes of vehicle-specific subsidies, if applicable. Where applicable, the NEDC values listed were calculated based on the new WLTP measurement procedure and then converted back to the NEDC measurement procedure for comparability reasons. For more information on the WLTP and NEDC measurement procedures, see https://www.bmw.de/wltp.

For further information about the official fuel consumption and the specific CO2 emission of new passenger cars can be taken out of the „handbook of fuel consumption, the CO2 emission and power consumption of new passenger cars“, which is available at all selling points and at https://www.dat.de/co2/.
