NEW PICTURES OF THE BMW M4.

20. Aug 2020 // Hardly camouflaged, BMW M shows the new M4 on the Red Bull Ring in Spielberg, Austria. Markus Flasch, CEO of the BMW M GmbH, presented the new high-performance car together with the BMW M4 GT3 racing car on the Grand Prix race: “I am very pleased we are able to present both the new BMW M4 Coupe and the new BMW M4 GT3 together here. As title sponsor of the ‘BMW M Grand Prix of Styria’ and long-term partner of MotoGP organiser Dorna Sports, I cannot think of a better place to hold this special premiere. The BMW M4 Coupe and its motorsport counterpart BMW M4 GT3 are the icons of the BMW M GmbH and prime examples of the technology transfer from motorsport to series production – and back again. From the outset, both vehicles were developed parallel to each other, so they both have the same genes.”

AN EXCLUSIVE LOOK BEHIND THE SCENES.

Mile after mile in the new BMW M3.

Whether control systems, shock absorbers or chassis components, developers at BMW M always stay focused on the overall vehicle concept and work tirelessly to refine driving behaviour until it meets the desired requirements. The latter are always set high: the BMW M3 was created to offer perfect control and maximum performance in all driving situations, both on the racetrack and in everyday driving. This requires an extensive test programme on public roads and at the BMW Group’s test centres in Miramas in the south of France and in Arjeplog in Sweden. In addition to the Nürburgring, extensive tuning work is also carried out on many other racetracks. All in pursuit of the engineers’ ultimate goal: for the new BMW M3 to be utterly unique in the high-performance saloon class.

Due to regular software updates, screen designs in the communication may differ from the actual screen design in your car.

Official data on power consumption and electric range were determined in accordance with the mandatory measurement procedure and comply with Regulation (EU) 715/2007 valid at the time of type approval. In case of a range, figures in the NEDC take into account differences in the selected wheel and tire size; figures in the WLTP take into account any optional equipment. WLTP values are used for assessing taxes and other vehicle-related charges that are (also) based on CO2 emissions, as well as for the purposes of vehicle-specific subsidies, if applicable. Where applicable, the NEDC values listed were calculated based on the new WLTP measurement procedure and then converted back to the NEDC measurement procedure for comparability reasons. For newly type-tested vehicles since 01.01.2021, the official data no longer exist according to NEDC, but only according to WLTP. For more information on the WLTP and NEDC measurement procedures, see https://www.bmw.com/wltp.

For further information about the official fuel consumption and the specific CO2 emission of new passenger cars can be taken out of the „handbook of fuel consumption, the CO2 emission and power consumption of new passenger cars“, which is available at all selling points and at https://www.dat.de/co2/.
