PERFORMANCE INCREASED.

BMW M2 Competition

With 410 hp of pure power backed up by 550 Nm, the all-new BMW M2 Competition engine generates impressive performance data. How were these outstanding numbers generated? The all-new BMW M2 Competition engine is powered by two MonoScroll turbochargers. The 3-litre inline 6-cylinder therefore achieves similar performance to a V8 engine, with lower fuel consumption. With an extra 40 horsepower, drivers will experience an 11 per cent increase in performance.

GREAT POWER.

BMW M2 Competition

Torque has also increased by a massive 85 Nm – up 18 per cent – from 465 Nm to 550 Nm. The twin turbos pack a punch, delivering breath-taking performance and driving pleasure. Meanwhile, the all-new BMW M2 Competition is even more racetrack-worthy, thanks to another feature it has adopted from the M4. The engine’s new cooling system consists of a central and two lateral radiators, as well as another oil cooler. This allows the turbochargers to receive more air, resulting in a higher power output.

MAXIMUM STEERING PRECISION

BMW M2 Competition

There's also another highlight under the BMW M2 Competition bonnet, as its new precision strut is made of fibre reinforced plastic (CFRP). This significant body component in the engine compartment that comes from motor-sport vehicles increases the stiffness of the front end of the car and maximises steering precision - weighing in at just 1.5 kilograms.
