BMW M3 Air Jordan

Two big names that revolutionised their own sport: Michael Jordan in basketball and the BMW M3 in racing sport. The bounce for Jordan is the acceleration for the coupé with 343 hp: the BMW M3 (E46) just needs 5.1 seconds to tear to 100 km/h. The Peking graffiti crew “400ML” worked together with the auto-tuner iAcro to bring the two stars together. The result: the BMW M3 in the look of the cult Nike shoe “Air Jordan 1 Chicago.” The Nike swoosh on the sides of the car, the Nike Air logo on the roof and the Michael Jordan Jumpman logo on the engine bonnet and rear window. The BMW M3 is presented in the legendary Nike sneaker colours red and white.

His Airness – Lord of the air.

Everyone agrees that Michael Jordan is one of the world’s best basketball players. In 1984, he made it into the North American professional basketball league, the NBA. In a short time, he shot to superstardom. His signature move is a spectacular slam dunk flying through the air. This is depicted in the logo of the Air Jordan brand, which can also be seen on the BMW M3, inspired by Air Jordan 1. Between 1984 and 2003, Jordan made basketball popular around the world. The long-time shooting guard of the Chicago Bulls broke many records in his career: he was NBA Champion six times and won the Olympic Gold twice – in 1992 as a member of the “Dream Team”. The cooperation between the sportswear manufacturer Nike and Jordan created one of the most iconic products ever – the Air Jordan series. Even today new editions create hysteria akin to the latest Apple status symbols.

The BMW M3 – a star on the roads.

BMW M3

While Michael Jordan was flying from success to success in the USA, a Bavarian sports star was also celebrating triumphs. Throughout the 80s and 90s, the BMW M3 won a World Champion title, two European Champion titles, more than 60 national titles, including two at the highly-competitive DTM, as well as highly-prestigious wins on the 24-hour Nürburgring or the Rallye World Championship. The BMW M3 of the E30 Series advanced to one of the most successful touring cars of all times and became a legend in motorsports. It’s no wonder that 400ML and iAcro couldn’t resist the successful pairing of Air Jordan/BMW M3.
