CONQUERS THE FROZEN MOUNTAINS OF ROMANIA.
The BMW X6 M50d video "Frozen Romania" by Stanly & Katya.

Snowy dreamscapes – and a dreamlike SUV. Where else could the robust BMW X6 M50d (Fuel consumption in l/100 km (combined): 6.6. CO2 emissions in g/km (combined): 174) xDrive shine so brilliantly than in the white splendours of Romania? In the video “Frozen Romania”, the powerful all-terrain coupé becomes the leading actor, confidently ploughing along with 381 hp past snow walls as tall as a person, and looking as if Father Frost had created it himself. With its powerful dynamic presence, the all-wheel-drive defies extreme weather conditions at minus 20 degrees for two weeks, impressing even the travel-tested filmmakers Stanley & Katya. “The weather conditions were the biggest challenge on our trip, especially the snow and ice-covered hair-pin curves. But despite the extreme weather and challenging mountain roads, we always reached our destination,” says Stanley. Stanly & Katya, tackled these challenges, exploring the unique frozen landscapes of the Romanian mountains. The hero of the project was the BMW X6 M50d xDrive. The result is a stunning short movie about the wild, snow covered mountains of Romania.
There is no thought of stopping, the forward drive of the BMW X6 M50d xDrive can't be tamed. When the most powerful 3-litre diesel engine in its segment takes off, it can't be stopped. And so it races past lakes, fairytale castles and up the famous Transfogarascher Hochstraße and the 2,000-metre-high peaks. The car has got power to spare. And acceleration: in 5.2 seconds from a standstill to 100 km/h. Business as usual for this climbing king – fun driving even in the iciest of conditions. A dream!
