Go for the Nordschleife. The BMW M4 GTS.

With the BMW M4 GTS, BMW M GmbH presents an exclusive new technology leader, which once again impressively boosts the BMW M4 Coupé’s (Fuel consumption in l/100 km (combined): 8.8 to 8.3. CO2 emissions in g/km (combined): 204 to 194) potential. With its powerful motorsport look and high-performance technology, the BMW M4 GTS is clearly geared to the racetrack – as demonstrated by its lap time of 7 minutes 28 seconds on the legendary Nordschleife of the Nürburgring, the world‘s most challenging racetrack. This is a powerful statement of this special model’s exceptional performance. At the same time, like all BMW M models, this most agile BMW M4 is fully road-legal.

The BMW M4 GTS has a multi award-winning, inline 6-cylinder turbo engine with 3.0 litres capacity, like the BMW M3/M4. This model also features an innovative, performance boosting water injection system, which significantly increases the engine power to 368 kW/500 hp and the torque to 600 Nm. With a fuel consumption of 8.3 litres* per 100 km und CO2 emissions of 194 g/km*, despite the increased performance, the measurement values remain at the same low level as for the BMW M4 Coupé. The most agile, original and dynamic model in the series, the BMW M4 GTS accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.8 seconds and can reach a maximum speed of 305 km/h (electronically limited). Its outstanding 3.0 kg/hp performance is the perfect pre-requisite for the ultimate dynamic driving experience.

SYSTEMATIC LIGHTWEIGHT CONSTRUCTION

The weight-optimised M light-alloy wheels in exclusive Star-spoke style 666 M in Acid Orange are forged and gloss-lathed. They are specially designed for the BMW M4 GTS adapted Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tyres in 265/36 R19 at the front and 285/30 R20 in
the rear. Thereby creating exceptional traction as well as responsiveness in the curves.

The distinctive lightweight door and side panels with door handle loops replace the standard door handles and contribute to minimising the weight. The lightweight construction is found consistently down to the last detail and not just the visible ones: even the mounting of the instrument panel is made of lightweight carbon fibre.

With the optional Club Sport Package, the BMW M4 GTS can be even more consistently fitted out for sporty driving. This includes anti-roll bars in Acid Orange behind the front seats, six-point safety belts suitable for racing** and a fire extinguisher.
**Only allowed for racetrack and not on public roads.

The adjustable rear wing is also constructed from light, but highly-resilient, high-tech material. Intricate CFRP milled supports attach it the boot lid made of carbon-fibre reinforced plastic: more proof that even the smallest part can optimise weight reduction.

On the exterior, the roof as well as the adjustable splitter made of carbon-fibre-reinforced plastic (CFRP) ensures for considerably increased dynamics. Also made of CFRP, the newly-designed engine bonnet, which both in lightweight construction and also visuals, creates an additional boost.

BMW M4 GTS has rear lights with OLED (organic light-emitting diode) technology – a world first in a series model. In contrast to LEDs’ point light source, the OLEDs illuminate with a full-surface and homogenous light. The flat height (just 1.4 mm) and the option of controlling individual lighting modules separately opens up new lighting possibilities, enables a high level of precision and guarantees a distinctive look by day or night.

The distinctive double round headlights with four integrated corona rings provide optimal lane illumination combining LED technology (LED = Light Emitting Diode) with BMW Selective Beam (anti-glare high-beam assistant) and adaptive cornering headlights.

In synergy with the carbon-fibre diffuser below the rear bumper, the rear wing improves the airflow and optimises the buoyancy of the rear axle. The exhaust system has a titanium silencer, which reduces the weight by 20 percent. The uniquely compelling sound, typical for M vehicles, creates a forceful racetrack atmosphere both in and outside the vehicle.

The BMW M4 GTS is optimally adapted for the race track.

The M-specific 3-way coilover suspension for the BMW M4 GTS can be individually adjusted to suit various racetracks. The lightweight M Carbon ceramic brake offers clean, defined braking power and guarantees outstanding braking performance, even over long periods and under extreme circumstances such as on the racetrack.

A picture-perfect cockpit.

With 7-gear M dual-clutch transmission as standard, the traction-optimised gear automatically selects the optimum gear in any driving situation with no interruption in tractive force, continuously relaying power to the rear wheels. The system can also be controlled manually using the gearshift paddles on the steering wheel, or via the gear lever. The Drivelogic automatic gear programme and Launch Control were specially designed for the higher engine performance.
In the exclusive, purist interior, the carbon M shell-shaped driver and front passenger seats continue the lightweight theme. They weigh about 50 percent less than the sport seats in the BMW M4 Coupé and are characterised by perfect ergonomics and body support for maximum comfort on long-distance drives. The exclusive Alcantara and Merino leather seat covers and the M stripes on the back rests, 3-point seat belt and door handle loops emphasise the extraordinary character of this highly-trained athlete: the BMW M4 GTS. Due to licensing requirements, in the North American market, the BMW M4 GTS has a separate shell-shaped M sport seat with a perforated lightweight back rest. The M sport steering wheel is also upholstered in exquisite Alcantara; its 12 o’clock marking underlines the BMW M4 GTS’s racing character.
