With 288 kW (392 hp)* and a maximum torque of 540 Nm, it accelerates the BMW M340i xDrive Sedan from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds. An integrated 48-volt mild-hybrid system* produces an electric boost of 9 kW (12 hp) to further enhance the engine's efficiency and spontaneous response.

It generates a maximum output of 250 kW (340 hp) and a peak torque of 700 Nm, enabling an acceleration of just 4.7 seconds from 0 to 100 km/h. An integrated 48-volt mild-hybrid system produces an electric boost of 9 kW (12 hp) to further enhance the engine's efficiency and spontaneous response.

M Sport differential.
Especially when changing lanes, cornering or when there are changing road conditions, the M Sport differential improves traction and driving stability. Thanks to the permanent, continuously variable differential lock control and electronically controlled multi-disc lock, you experience optimum grip and directional stability in every driving situation.
8-speed Steptronic Sport transmission.
The 8-speed Steptronic Sport transmission offers incredibly sporty gear changes. Whether automatic or manual using gearshift paddles or gear lever – for comfortable coasting or incredibly dynamic driving. In SPORT mode and with the gear lever in the left-hand S/M position, the gear shifts are configured for the best performance.
M Sport braking system.
The powerful M Sport braking system matches a sporty BMW. Its exclusive look with blue or red painted brake calipers and M inscription underscore the impressive qualities. The front aluminium fixed calipers are each equipped with four pistons, and the rear floating calipers with a single piston each. Particularly large, internally ventilated discs in lightweight construction technology ensure an excellent brake force. They also offer high deceleration performance when a dynamic driving style is adopted.
Variable sport steering.
The Variable sport steering with Servotronic creates a direct and agile steering response and ensures that less physical effort is required to turn the wheel. It reacts to the angle of the steering wheel with varying steering ratios. This improves handling when driving more dynamically and reduces the effort needed to steer when parking and turning.
Adaptive M suspension.
The 10 millimetre lowered Adaptive M suspension can be electrically adjusted at any time to suit the road and driving conditions. You can also adjust the suspension characteristics via the Driving Experience Control to enable your preferred driving style at the time – from comfortable to extremely athletic with markedly agile handling.
