M SPECIFIC PAC-MAN VERSION AVAILABLE AS BMW IN-CAR-GAME .

In 2022, the collaboration between BMW and the gaming platform AirConsole brought a unique form of in-car gaming onto the curved displays of BMW vehicles for the first time. Now, BMW, AirConsole and Bandai Namco have presented the BMW M specific ‘PAC-MAN Championship Edition’ in a BMW XM Label at ApeFest 2025 in Las Vegas.

Dubbed “casual games”, BMW and AirConsole’s in-car games are characterised by their ease of access and intuitive controls. Drivers and passengers can play them while the vehicle is stationary as a way of passing time. The latest in-car game highlight just made its debut in Las Vegas at ApeFest 2025, the annual major event for the Web3 community, in the cockpit of a BMW XM Label with a PAC-MAN look – the ‘PAC-MAN Championship Edition’, developed in collaboration between BMW, AirConsole and Bandai Namco. This version of the classic game is specifically tailored for BMW M, with many M icons playing a role in it.

This special version, available exclusively to BMW owners, features numerous BMW M icons as characters. The legendary PAC-MAN sets out in search of vehicles such as the BMW M Baby Racer and the BMW XM Label, as well as items from the BMW M Lifestyle Collection.

The graphics of the BMW M specific ‘PAC-MAN Championship Edition’ authentically reflect the original look of the 1980s, allowing players to take a pleasant journey back in time when the 8-bit processor was still cutting edge.

ApeFest is aimed at a community fuelled by its high affinity for technology, remarkable creative power and exuberant enthusiasm for innovation. This makes it a perfect fit for BMW, which is why the Bavarian premium vehicle manufacturer continued their partnership for ApeFest 2025.

A special highlight among the event’s main themes was an exclusive BMW XM Label with eye-catching PAC-MAN design elements. Visitors to ApeFest 2025 were able to play the BMW M specific ‘PAC-MAN Championship Edition’ in its cockpit for the first time. The BMW XM Label was chosen because the model embodies high performance, extroverted design and state-of-the-art technology, making it the perfect platform for the game classic’s kick-off as an exclusive BMW in-car game. Following this premiere, the ‘PAC-MAN Championship Edition’ will gradually be made available for all BMW M models worldwide, provided minimum system requirements are met.

AVAILABILITY IN BMW M MODELS.

AirConsole and its attractive in-car games are generally available for all BMW M models worldwide. The prerequisite for this is that the respective M vehicle is equipped with Operating System 8.5 (with Service Pack 2021) and the optional ‘Connected Package Professional’ (SA 6C3/6C4). AirConsole can also be used in BMW M vehicles with Operating System 9 and BMW Digital Premium. The content of the ‘AirConsole Games’ vehicle app may vary depending on the country of delivery.
