Becky, thank you for taking your time to speak with us. Could you tell us what does driving mean to you?
Driving to me has always been freedom. I can be off on a road trip with friends having fun. Or I could be on a track, let loose behind the wheel. But in both scenarios I feel free. Its always been my happy space, but also where I have time to reflect. If I need to really think about something, I will go for a drive. If I need to hype myself up, I go for a drive with some music turned all the way up. Driving has been a big part of what has made me, me.
What is your favorite BMW M model?
I would have to say the E30 M3. For me this is where my love affair with M started, and it is just such a cool piece of automotive history. Whenever I drive my E30, I feel like I am in a time machine to the best era of cars, the 80s. It has a lot of nostalgia for me, not just because its the racing heritage but to when I was young and seeing these cars racing on the track for the first time. It was a dream come true to finally own one.
What has been your favorite AREA M experience so far?
Definitely doing some tandem drifting in the M2 . Its great to see how truly capable the M2 is. It was testing my skills!

Which driving maneuver did you really have to practice to master?
It took me a long time to really master a full speed transition in the a car. As you have to really push yourself to get the timing right, and this takes a hot minute to do especially in a road car with no handbrake.
A road trip everyone should do at least once?
For me it has to be driving to a Ski town like Austria, with some friends. You just load your car up with your friends and your snowboard and go have a good time. Amazing mountain roads are so much when you driving in the snow too.
What was your first car, and what was your first BMW M model?
My first car was actually a Volkswagen Golf MK4, but I quickly swapped that out for a 1983 BMW E21. My first M car came about 7 years later when I could afford it! It was a super cool Speed Yellow M3 F80.
Becky, thank you for your time.
