the time it takes the BMW M8 Competition Convertible to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h.
The latest version of the M TwinPower Turbo 8-cylinder petrol engine guarantees performance in keeping with the latest standards. In the BMW M8 Competition Convertible, the high-revving unit develops an output of 460 kW (625 hp). The two turbochargers stand out thanks to their cross-cylinder bank exhaust manifold with optimum response characteristics. The V8 engine is also designed for extreme loads on the race track.
The M MODE button on the centre console can adjust the control intensity of the driver assistance systems. The ROAD mode offers the full range of functions of the electronic assistants. In the SPORT setting, they only warn but do not intervene. Depending on the selected mode, the display network also shows the corresponding driving information. The BMW M8 Competition Convertible additionally features TRACK mode, which allows the driver to concentrate fully on the race track without any intervention.
M xDrive with Active M Differential guarantees maximum traction and driving dynamics for everyday driving, as well as at the racetrack. The M specific technology combines the typical agility of a rear-wheel drive with the control of an all-wheel drive. There is a choice between the drive variants 4WD, 4WD Sport and – in DSC-off mode – 2WD.
Adaptive M suspension.
The Adaptive M suspension comes as a standard and makes it possible to adjust the damper characteristics to suit any given driving situation, increasing driving dynamics and comfort. In addition to the standard COMFORT setting for increased driving comfort, the SPORT program offers more direct damper settings, and SPORT+ for use on the racetrack.
M Sport exhaust system.
The M Sport exhaust system comes as a standard and delivers a dynamic sound that can be modified via the integrated exhaust valve mechanism. The SPORT and SPORT+ programmes, which can be selected via the driving dynamics buttons, are accentuated by an even more intense engine sound, while the comfort-oriented programme delivers a more discreet sporty sound.
M Carbon ceramic brake.
The optional M Carbon ceramic brake delivers braking power even more directly. The brake is non-corrosive and tolerates even more heat. It impresses with extremely minimal wear and contributes to a lower vehicle weight, which has a positive impact on agility, dynamics and acceleration. The special technical equipment is visible through calipers in the colour Gold matt with M logo on the outside.
THE BMW M8 CONVERTIBLE.
The M TwinPower Turbo V8 engine of the BMW M8 Coupé delivers 441 kW (600 hp), accelerating it from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.3 seconds. The characteristic features of the Convertible include body parts in high-gloss chrome, such as the kidney grille and the two double exhaust pipes.

Official data on power consumption and electric range were determined in accordance with the mandatory measurement procedure and comply with Regulation (EU) 715/2007 valid at the time of type approval. In case of a range, figures in the NEDC take into account differences in the selected wheel and tire size; figures in the WLTP take into account any optional equipment. WLTP values are used for assessing taxes and other vehicle-related charges that are (also) based on CO2 emissions, as well as for the purposes of vehicle-specific subsidies, if applicable. Where applicable, the NEDC values listed were calculated based on the new WLTP measurement procedure and then converted back to the NEDC measurement procedure for comparability reasons. For newly type-tested vehicles since 01.01.2021, the official data no longer exist according to NEDC, but only according to WLTP. For more information on the WLTP and NEDC measurement procedures, see https://www.bmw.com/wltp.
