Clubs dedicated to the BMW M brand exist all over the world. The global club scene is exceptionally varied and offers a wide variety of activities, all of which share one thing in common: a passion for BMW M models.

BMW M DRIVERS CLUB E. V.

The Cologne-based club brings together drivers of BMW M and M Performance models, as well as Alpina vehicles, for regular outings at the BMW M Track Day. In their own words, the club members view the track days and driver training sessions explicitly as driving-focused events that live up to their name. After all, it’s all about sporty driving. To this end, racetracks are always exclusively rented, and active race car drivers are hired as instructors. The joy of driving a BMW is the top priority – from the BMW M1 to the BMW Z8, all models are welcome. In addition, members receive an exclusive subscription to the club’s own magazine, published several times a year.

“No obligations. Just driving fun.”

BMW CSL OWNERS CLUB E. V.

A BMW M club in the broader sense: The BMW CSL Owners Club specializes in BMW CSL models – which have become exclusive collector’s items – that shaped the history of BMW M thanks to a series of spectacular racing successes in the 1970s. Club members are scattered all over the world, and some rarely meet. But, as the club notes, they all share the same passion. As a result, when they meet, the reunions evoke the family-like atmosphere of a 1970s paddock. Members attend historic racing events throughout Europe, usually taking to the track in their own CSL cars. They also regularly participate in races at venues including Le Mans, Spa, Zandvoort, and Monza.

“We preserve this rare species and work to ensure that both road and competition cars can be used for what they were built for: driving”

BMW M1 CLUB E. V.

Established in 1987, the club is dedicated to the first vehicle to be solely developed by BMW Motorsport GmbH – now BMW M GmbH – and thus the first road car to bear the famous “M” in its name. Since its inception, the BMW M1 Club has been the central hub for all BMW M1 enthusiasts worldwide. The club has 87 members with 86 BMW M1 vehicles. This means that nearly one in five of the approximately 460 BMW M1 cars ever built is represented in the club. Today, the M1 Club is aware of the locations of 365 (81%) M1 vehicles in 29 countries.

“We collect, curate, and preserve all knowledge related to the BMW M1 and the Procar series.”

BMW M CLUB NEDERLAND.

Founded in 2016 by a group of M enthusiasts as a club by members for members: for this reason, in addition to various club activities, the BMW M Club Nederland also supports and promotes initiatives by individual members to enhance the joy of BMW M and share it with the world. According to the BMW M Club Nederland, members are united by a shared passion and enjoy a positive, friendly atmosphere characterized by mutual respect.

“A BMW M is a special car – because of its appearance, its driving dynamics, and its character.”

BMW M CLUB SUISSE ROMANDE.

Located between Basel and Lausanne on Lake Neuchâtel, the club welcomes drivers of BMW M and BMW M Performance models, as well as Alpina vehicles. The Swiss club’s activities comprise of regular drives to racetracks, with driver trainings included. Trips to the BMW Museum in Munich are also part of the program.

BMW M CLUB SALZBURG.

According to the club itself, the BMW M Club in Salzburg is characterized by a friendly and family-like atmosphere. In addition to club activities, the program includes drives through picturesque landscapes with breathtaking panoramic views and winding roads – of which the region, fortunately, has no shortage. And even though the emblem says “BMW M Club,” the Salzburg chapter welcomes drivers of models from Alpina, Schnitzer, and BMW AG.

BMW M CLUB FRANCE.

With nearly 400 BMW M enthusiasts, the French BMW M Club based in Vénissieux near Lyon is one of the largest M Clubs in the world. It welcomes all owners of BMW M and BMW M Performance models, regardless of model year, from all over France. The most popular club activities include road trips, regular driving events at renowned racetracks, and participation in model unveilings. Among the definitive highlights is the M Festival organized by the club, which takes place annually at rotating racetracks, such as Magny-Cours. At such events, the club sometimes mobilizes up to 150 BMW M vehicles and 400 participants.

BMW MOTORSPORT CLUB ITALIA.

The BMW Motorsport Club Italia, located in Origgio - just a 45-minute drive from the Autodromo Nazionale Monza – is the central hub for enthusiasts of BMW M vehicles in Italy. Born out of a passion for sporty driving and technical excellence, the club organizes exclusive events, dynamic tours, and shared experiences that celebrate the joy of driving.

BMW M CLUB ESPAÑA.

The BMW M Club España, located near Alicante, is the only official BMW M Club in Spain and is dedicated to fostering interaction among BMW M drivers. To this end, members maintain an active club life, with activities including club meetings, track days, and visits to motorsports events. All BMW M and BMW M Performance models are welcome in the club, as well as classic “ancestors” and “relatives” such as the BMW 3.0 CSL, BMW 2002 turbo, BMW 320is E30, BMW 850CSi E31, and BMW Z8.

BMW M CLUB PORTUGAL.

The BMW M Club Portugal is known for its diverse club activities. Nearly 5,000 followers keep up with the Portuguese M enthusiasts as they post about their meetups, road trips, and rallies on Instagram. The club organizes regular drives, meetups, and test drives. Among the highlights of its activities is the participation in the Concurso de Elegância de Espinho, one of the most important and oldest classic car events in Portugal.

BMW CAR CLUB OF AMERICA – M CHAPTER.

The BMW Car Club of America is the largest umbrella organization for BMW clubs worldwide and unites over 68,000 members across 68 different local clubs – one of which is the M Chapter. The U.S.-based BMW M Club organizes approximately 500 events each year, ranging from meetups to driving activities, and supports members in building networks with other BMW M drivers.
