With BMW M IconicSounds Electric and the i4 in the M version, characteristic engine sound and sustainable performance, M GmbH is heading into the age of electromobility. The person responsible for the emotional sound of the purely electric-powered i4 is world-famous composer and Academy Award winner Hans Zimmer. BMW M IconicSounds Electric.
In the basic setting, BMW M IconicSounds Electric convey the character of an electric BMW M via a strikingly transparent tone colour with powerful components. While in COMFORT mode the M version of the BMW i4 initially creates an immersive atmosphere characterized by effortlessness, stepping on the gas at once demonstrates the immediate connection between sound and vehicle. And with increasing weight and speed, the sound experience intensifies. In particular in SPORT mode, whose sound spectrum is more emotional and powerful, the sound reveals more about the output power. Within milliseconds, engine processes are registered and acceleration, load change or recuperation are reflected acoustically. Only when driving in ECO PRO mode is audible feedback absent, the soundless drive underlining the driver’s decision to use an especially efficient driving mode.
