THE BMW M3 TURNS 40.

In 1986, BMW M launched a model that continues to define the brand to this day: the BMW M3, a driving machine in the guise of a sports coupé, whose concept was rooted in motorsport from the very beginning and developed specifically for racing – after all, the model still holds the title of the most successful Touring car of all time. A true champion, indeed. This first generation, the BMW M3 E30, is now available as a LEGO® Speed Champions model set in a special anniversary design that highlights the car’s motorsport DNA.

MOTORSPORT LIVERY.

For the first time, designers from the LEGO Group and BMW M have joined forces to create a unique ‘livery’ for the model. Its colours and graphics are inspired by BMW M Motorsport designs.

THE BMW M3 E30 AS A COLLECTOR’S MODEL.

The LEGO® Speed Champions BMW M3 E30 is characterised by meticulous attention to detail in its design, faithful to the original vehicle. Among the authentically recreated design features are the BMW kidney grille, the rear spoiler and the front end with its four round headlights, characteristic of the first generation of the BMW M3. Even the interior of the 17-centimetre-long and 7-centimetre-wide model features seats, a steering wheel and the matching minifigure.

LEGO® SPEED CHAMPIONS.

With its concept of recreating iconic racing cars using interlocking bricks, LEGO® Speed Champions have been delighting car enthusiasts and collectors of all ages for over ten years. With the latest model set, which is suitable for children aged 9 and up, the racing fun begins as soon as you start building. This can be done using the included building instructions or the LEGO® Builder app.

The LEGO® Speed Champions BMW M3 E30 is now available for pre-order at LEGO.com and will release in LEGO stores and BMW dealers on 1 August 2026 at a recommended retail price of €27.99. It is also available through BMW dealers in the EU and UK, on lifestyle.bmw.com and LEGO Shops worldwide.

For the launch of the new LEGO® Speed Champions BMW M3 E30, the 'BMW M T-Shirt Livery' will be available from 1 August 2026. It is made from organic cotton and featuring a high-quality print on the front and back. Fans around the globe can get excited to now be able to match outfits with their beloved LEGO minifigure.
