THE BMW M SUCCESS AT THE NORDSCHLEIFE.
The best time of 7:25.534 minutes demonstrates the racing expertise of BMW M GmbH, which is also evident in the new edition of the BMW M2 CS special model. Whether it’s improved aerodynamics and consistent lightweight construction or the increased peak performance of its inline six-cylinder engine – which is also used as the basis for the BMW M4 GT3 EVO race car –, with 390 kW (530 hp), a top speed of 302 km/h and a sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.8 seconds, the BMW M2 CS delivers quantifiable high performance.
In previous BMW M record runs at the Nürburgring, the only models that managed to clock in under 7:30 minutes were the BMW M4 CSL and the BMW M3 CS, both mid-range vehicles. The BMW M4 CSL also holds the best lap time ever recorded for a BMW Group production vehicle. The official and certified time is 7:18.137 minutes.
