Born on the racetrack – made for the streets: a promise that also applied to the development of the BMW X6 M F86. The aim was to explore the dynamic limits of the SAV coupé concept. The performance figures of the BMW X6 M F86, which are on a par with those of many two-seater top sports cars, are impressive proof of the SAV concept.
The BMW X6 M F86 draws 423 kW (575 hp) from a 4.4-litre V8 engine with M TwinPower Turbo technology. The maximum power is available between 6,000 and 6,500 rpm, while the full torque of an impressive 750 Nm spreads across a wide rev range from 2,200 to 5,000 rpm. With these specs, the SAC is good for a sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.2 seconds. Thanks to the intelligent BMW xDrive all-wheel drive system and the 8-speed M Steptronic transmission with Drivelogic, the engine’s drive energy is optimally transferred to the road. The top speed is electronically limited to 250 km/h. With the optional M Driver’s Package, the X6 M even reaches 280 km/h.

The specific SAC design with its sporty sloping roofline sets the BMW X6 M F86 apart at first glance. The dynamic coupé silhouette, particularly impressive when viewed from the side, promises power and agility without compromising on comfort or space. With five doors, five seats, a payload of almost 700 kilograms and a boot capacity of 550 to 1,525 litres, the SAC effortlessly meets the demands of everyday usability. Features such as the impressively large but functional air intakes and an exterior fully painted in the body colour, including all add-on elements, underline the athletic character and assert the performance claims of the X6 M right from the start.
Another attractive feature the BMW X6 M F86 adds to the typical M combination of high performance and everyday practicality: its high ground clearance of 195 millimetres. It allows the SAC to navigate even bumpy surfaces with ease.
The basic set-up of the xDrive all-wheel drive in the BMW X6 M is rear-biased, which not only increases agility but also allows controlled drifting in conjunction with the optimised control functions of Dynamic Stability Control (DSC). The standard 20-inch light alloy wheels intensify this driving experience. Forged 21-inch M light-alloy wheels were also available as an option for the BMW X6 M F86.

Additional exclusive M touches include electric M sports seats upholstered in finely grained Merino leather with contrast stitching and embossed M logos on the headrests, plus door-sill trims bearing model lettering.

In August 2017, fans of the X6 M were treated to an exciting special edition. With its exclusive sapphire black metallic paintwork, the Black Fire Edition accentuates the design and the unique, sporty lines of the BMW X6 M F86 even more strikingly. The rich black tone, combined with the M double kidney grille, which is also framed in black with black bars, is a unique feature of the Black Fire Edition. Another attractive eye-catcher of the Black Fire Edition are the standard carbon mirror caps. They highlight the model’s proximity to motorsport.
The racing feel of the BMW X6 M Edition Black Fire continues in the interior. This is particularly evident in the consistent juxtaposition of the motorsport colour Mugello Red and the contrasting colour black. The high-quality full leather interior is largely in deep black and is repeatedly offset by accents, stitching and frames in Mugello Red. The interior trim in Piano Black is equally impressive, with the X6 M Edition Black Fire logo featuring above the glove compartment.

The BMW X6 M F86 is an extremely powerful, technically impressive statement that once again pushed the boundaries of driving dynamics in its class.
