BMW ///M HOW TO DRIFT VOL. 3.

This is how combined drifting works.

BMW ///M How to Drift Vol. 3.This is how combined drifting works.

Learn to drift from the pros: In Part 3 of the series How to Drift we’re raising the bar. Instructor Stefan Landmann is taking us on a drift track in the BMW M2 Competition. Here, it’s all about precision and a feel for the vehicle. Whether it’s a semicircle, circle or between the cones in the slalom section, what we‘ve learned so far in the first two parts of How to Drift comes to a climax on the drift course.

As usual, Stefan explains each step from starting the drift, holding it and then leaving it. This time, we’ve added moving from drift to drift. You can see what to watch out for and how it all works in the new How to Drift Combinations video.

Only drive on cordoned-off areas, not on public roads.

WHO IS WHO.

Stefan Landmann.

Racing driver, winner of the 24-hour Nürburgring race, instructor: Stefan Landmann seldom strays from the racing line. As a class winner in 2011 in the 24-hour Nürburgring race on the notorious Nordschleife, the thoroughbred race car driver conquered one of the most demanding racetracks in the world in a BMW M3 GT4. As a certified BMW instructor, the 30-year old Austrian is the right man in the right place when it comes to translating the fascination of racing to the road. “It’s a great pleasure for me to work with people who are as car-mad as I am,” says Landmann. “I’m happy to pass on my motorsport experience.”

Official data on power consumption and electric range were determined in accordance with the mandatory measurement procedure and comply with Regulation (EU) 715/2007 valid at the time of type approval. In case of a range, figures in the NEDC take into account differences in the selected wheel and tire size; figures in the WLTP take into account any optional equipment. WLTP values are used for assessing taxes and other vehicle-related charges that are (also) based on CO2 emissions, as well as for the purposes of vehicle-specific subsidies, if applicable. Where applicable, the NEDC values listed were calculated based on the new WLTP measurement procedure and then converted back to the NEDC measurement procedure for comparability reasons. For newly type-tested vehicles since 01.01.2021, the official data no longer exist according to NEDC, but only according to WLTP. For more information on the WLTP and NEDC measurement procedures, see https://www.bmw.com/wltp.
