Marco Wittmann finished his superb DTM season 2026 in the #11 Schaeffler BMW M4 GT3 EVO in third place in the drivers’ championship. At the season finale in Hockenheim, he finished third on the podium on Saturday and came seventh on Sunday. He thus concluded the season with 198 points, two wins and five further podium finishes. Unfortunately, it wasn’t quite enough for his third DTM title: Thomas Preining secured the championship ahead of Maro Engel. Schubert Motorsport finished the year in third place in the team standings.

Kelvin van der Linde finished sixth and 18th at Hockenheim. In the second race, a collision set him back; he also experienced problems during the pit stops. He concluded his first DTM season as a BMW M works driver with one victory and 96 points, finishing 14th overall.

Third place in the overall standings is a good result when you consider where we’ve come from this season. I’m proud of my team and of our performances this season.

The title was also decided in the ADAC BMW M2 Cup: Michael Schrey, racing for Hofor Racing by Bonk Motorsport, won the cup’s debut season. He no longer needed a podium finish to secure the title: seven wins in the first eight races prior had given him a comfortable lead. The last two races were won by Farin Megger (Riller & Schnauck powered by Cerny Motorsport) and Schrey’s team-mate Niklas Hirsch. Christopher Holst from Team ME Motorsport was crowned Rookie Champion.

Whether it was the DTM, the ADAC GT Masters, the ADAC GT4 Germany or the ADAC BMW M2 Cup: BMW M Motorsport was everywhere at Hockenheim. Congratulations and compliments to all teams and drivers.

Head of BMW M Motorsport

For FK Performance Motorsport, the finale proved to be a mixed bag despite securing another title. In the ADAC GT Masters, Tim Zimmermann and Leyton Fourie lost their narrow lead in the overall standings after finishing sixth and second. They ended up in second place. FK Performance Motorsport nevertheless won the title in the team standings. In the ADAC GT4 Germany, Benjamin Sylvestersson and Gabriele Piana missed out on the title by four points. In the #51 BMW M4 GT4 EVO they secured one victory as well as third and fourth places across the three final races.
