IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship. Breathtaking vehicles, legendary race tracks, top-class drivers and enthusiastic fans: the IWSC offers motorsport in its purest form.

Thanks to passionate fans, the IWSC series offers a unique atmosphere. It continues a long tradition of sports car racing in the USA and Canada, in which BMW M Motorsport has always played a major role. Spectacular prototypes and GT cars go head-to-head at iconic racetracks, and battle it out for victories and valuable points at classics such as the 24 Hours of Daytona and the 12 Hours of Sebring. In 2022, BMW M Motorsport competed with the new BMW M4 GT3 in the new GTD-PRO class. The car was run by BMW M Team RLL.  Since the 2023 IWSC season, Bobby Rahal's team has been fielding two BMW Hybrid V8s and competing in the GTP class. which lead to a victory and 5 podium places already in their debut year. In the GTP class, the two BMW M teams, Turner Motorsport and Paul Miller Racing, are each successfully fielding a BMW M4 GT3 EVO.

IWSC.

The world’s best racing drivers, breathtaking cars and unique circuits make the races in the IWSC a real spectacle. The season traditionally kicks off with an absolute classic, the 24 Hours of Daytona. More highlights follow with the 12 Hours of Sebring, the 6 Hours of Watkins Glen, and Petit Le Mans at the end of the year. The IWSC series also visits such legendary circuits as Laguna Seca and Canadian Tire Motorsport Park.

With the BMW M Hybrid V8, BMW M Motorsport competes against the best of the best on the biggest stages of international prototype racing. Since the 2023 season, the BMW M Hybrid V8 has been battling for overall victories in the GTP category of the IWSC. Since 2024, BMW M Motorsport has also been entering the car in the FIA World Endurance Championship again.
