is the time it took BMW M development engineer Jörg Weidinger to complete a lap of the Nordschleife in the BMW M2 fitted with the M Performance Track Kit – despite challenging conditions such as high ambient and asphalt temperatures, as well as oil marks in the T13 sector. The new official record time for the compact class is on a par with that of the standard BMW M2 CS – despite having 37 kW (50 PS) less power and weighing around 35 kilograms more. The track-optimised chassis set-up and the high-performance aerodynamic design of the Track Kit are key to this significant improvement in lap time.

With the BMW M Performance Track Kit, the name says it all. The record-breaking lap at the Nürburgring impressively demonstrates the further improved track performance compared with the already highly powerful standard BMW M2. The M Performance Track Kit combines all aspects of driving dynamics in a single package and offers state-of-the-art motorsport technology.

For the first time, a Through-Rod Damper System (TRDS) is used to deliver maximum track performance, alongside an aerodynamic package tailored to the BMW M2, featuring a front splitter, a swan neck rear wing, wheel arch diffusers and aero flicks. Behind this lies an enormous amount of development work that only a car manufacturer can carry out in this form, which is what makes the package unique.
