The auction piece #46 BMW M4 GT3, sporting the chassis number 22-046, was in service between April 2023 and January 2025. Valentino Rossi and his BMW M Motorsport works driver teammates competed with it on numerous prestigious racetracks around the world, including Monza, São Paulo, Spa-Francorchamps, Le Mans and the Nürburgring. The vehicle is in ‘end-of-race’ condition just as it crossed the finish line in its last race at Bathurst, Australia, in early 2025. In addition to the usual insignia such as model name, start number and sponsor decals, the livery also features the autographs of Bathurst drivers Valentino Rossi, Raffaele Marciello and Charles Weerts, as well as Walter Maurer, the BMW Art Car specialist who coated the car with an exclusive clear lacquer for preservation.

The “end-of-race” condition offered means that the car bears all the marks of the race, including stone chips, tyre abrasion, brake dust, tar and asphalt, as well as thermal discolouration from oil and soot deposits from the exhaust system incurred during the last race at Bathurst.

Valentino Rossi has competed with the #46 BMW M4 GT3 in no fewer than 27 races in prestigious racing series such as the Intercontinental GT Challenge, the GT World Challenge Europe and the FIA WEC, securing victories in Misano and podium finishes in Qatar and Imola, among others. “Il Dottore” achieved his last success with the #46 in January 2025, finishing second overall in the 12 Hours of Bathurst.
